The principle

Bone is mobilized, plastically deformed and re-positioned. Not removed.

The procedures where this approach gives the clearest clinical advantage are split crest and crestal sinus lift. The Magnetic Mallet is central to both: it works by compaction rather than cutting, with a controlled impulse generated by MAGNETODYNAMICS technology, no rotation, no irrigation. Every technique presented in the morning is performed by every participant on an animal model in the afternoon.

Split crest

Pig mandible · Day 1

Controlled splitting of a horizontally atrophic ridge to create space for the implant without removing native bone. Full workflow: incision, split, implant, horizontal GBR, closure.

Bone expansion

Calf rib + simulator · Day 1

Plastic deformation of a narrow alveolar process. Compaction preserves cortical density while making room for the implant.

Crestal sinus lift

Pig head · Day 2

Summers (classic and modified) and the Fugazzotto plug through the crestal approach. Millimetric tip excursion gives immediate tactile feedback and a controlled lifting force.

L.M.S.F. technique

Pig head · Day 2

Lateral Management with the Sinus Floor, developed inside the OSSEOTOUCH ELEVATE working group for borderline anatomies where the crestal approach alone is not enough.

Program

Two days, one continuous bench

Mornings are theory and planning on real DICOM cases. Afternoons are one uninterrupted hands-on session with both faculty rotating among the twelve workstations.

Outcome. Each participant performs a complete split crest from incision to closure, including horizontal GBR.
Day02

Crestal Sinus Lift

Theory

  • Sinus atrophy classification
  • Summers technique, classic and modified
  • Fugazzotto plug
  • L.M.S.F. technique
  • ELEVATE decision-making protocol
  • Limits of the crestal approach and complication management

Hands-on

  • Dedicated didactic models
  • Pig head: crestal sinus lift
  • Biomaterial and implant placement under the lifted membrane
Outcome. The full crestal workflow on a realistic anatomical model, including membrane perforation management when it happens.

Workstations · one per participant

Each bench reproduces the operating room as closely as possible. The device is yours for the two days; the faculty tutor you step by step and give direct, individual feedback on your technique.

Sept 2026
Two days on the surgical management of atrophic ridges, between theory and hands-on work on models and animal preparations. Participants worked on expansion, split crest, crestal sinus lift and L.M.S.F., comparing protocols, indications and clinical approach directly at the bench. Clinicians from different countries, in Manfredonia around the same goal: compare, practise, and take the training straight back into clinical practice.

Questions

Is the course really delivered in English?

Yes. Both 2027 editions are international editions: theory, hands-on tutoring, Q&A, printed materials and certificate are in English.

I have never used the Magnetic Mallet. Can I attend?

Yes. The course assumes experience in implant surgery but not with the device. The faculty introduce the operating principle, compaction over cutting, and the hands-on protocol before the practical sessions begin.

Will I have my own device during the course?

Yes. Each of the twelve workstations has one Magnetic Mallet with Plus Handpiece, Black Ruby and Elevate osteotomes. It is yours for the two days.

How does the airport transfer work?

Transfer from Bari (BRI) or Foggia (FOG) to Manfredonia and back is included in the €1,900 fee. Pick-up details are arranged after registration, on the basis of your flight times.

Is the certificate recognised for CE credits?

M&M Education issues a certificate of attendance. Clinicians outside Italy should check with their own board whether it can be submitted as self-reported continuing education.

What is not covered?

Lateral window sinus lift, full-arch immediate loading, zygomatic and pterygoid implants, and soft-tissue grafting are outside the program. The course is dedicated to the crestal approach and to expansive techniques on the atrophic ridge.
